Welcome to Ceasefire, a dark twisted world of boundless love and bitter betrayal. A place where bonds are forged through blood, magic and mayhem.
Demons, Assassins, Angels and fallen Gods are only the tip in a universe that isn’t always black and white.
This series is good. Each book flows seamlessly from the one before it and just keeps getting better.
Obsidian Songbird is the story of Cassandra, Hades and Zeus. Zeus has captured Cassandra for her visions, but Cassandra is as stubborn as ever and refuses to give in to Zeus. Every time she refuses Zeus punishes Cassandra; he punishes her in some very sick, twisted and horrifically cruel ways.
Hades, Lucifer, Mavi and a few others are all on the hunt for Cassandra trying to find her and save her from Zeus, as well as putting an end to Zeus in the process.
Obsidian Songbird is a well written and intricately woven web of a story. It ensnares you from the very beginning and draws you further in with every page. The action is paced well and described in such a way that it is easy to picture in your mind and to feel immersed in it.
The characters are like friends you’ve known for years, they keep you hooked in their lives and make you feel as though you are alongside them every step of the way and experiencing everything for yourself.
The emotions that the characters feel are almost palpable, they are certainly realistic to the things that they go through. My heart did break for Cassandra! What she endures at the hands of Zeus is shocking! I did wonder just what Claire was thinking as she wrote this!!!
Another incredible instalment in this series, I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

✫•My Review•✫
This series is getting better and better with each book! Even though this is part of The Ceasefire Series, you could read it without reading the other books first.
This book is packed with action from the very beginning, and it continues to be full of action until the end.
The plot is steadily paced, thought-out and well-written. The author has created a very realistic world and set of characters. The details given her enough to allow a mental image to form in my mind as I was reading and make you feel a part of the story as it unfolds.
It was very easy to feel a part of the characters’ lives and adventures. Which for the most part is fantastic, until reading the more painful parts of the story! But then if I did not feel the characters pain as well as a happiness then I guess Claire would not have done her job properly.
A Hellion Heart is most definitely an action-packed emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. And it’s that fantastic mix of action, drama and emotion from Claire’s writing that captured my attention, drew me in and kept me turning the pages needing to know just what was coming next.
I don’t know where Claire gets her ideas and inspiration from, I only hope she continues to get them. Her work is a genuine twisted joy to read.
A Hellion Heart may be able to be read as a stand-alone, but my honest opinion would be to read the others first; or at least straight after! This is another fantastic addition to an already epic series!
Absolutely loved every page!

Catching me, he lifts me effortlessly off my feet. One hand restraining my arms to my waist, the other cupping my face in a cruel grip. “You just can’t control your fiery temper, can you?”
Hand sliding from my jaw to my hair, he twists it titling my head to his. A hard-sensuous mouth clamps down on mine cutting off my snarl of outrage.
I can’t deny the powerful recognition the kiss brings. Resentment ignites at how he wields it in an alpha way to force submission. I’m shocked to the core to feel my strength draining away. In its place, a strange relaxed sensation seeping through my body. It leaves me shaking and confused.
As his tongue probes deeper, a murmur of anxiety leaves me.
The sound of voices filters in. Instant awareness of where we are and who’s watching is like being doused in ice water.
“Perhaps I’ve just found a way to curb your hostility,” Cade rasps against my mouth. When he moves to kiss me a second time, I sink my teeth into his bottom lip.
A growl rumbles through his broad chest, but it’s not with anger. His amber eyes pull me deeper into a place I shouldn’t go.
“Release me.” I don’t like how my voice sounds so weak and shaken.
The arm around me slackens enough for me to push a hand against his chest.
