El Diablo è morto. The Devil is dead.
In the underworld when a leader falls, another leader is ready to rise. I’m that leader. This is my time to rule.
But stepping into my brother’s shoes, comes with a price, an inheritance of both gold and blood.
Are you ready for a war? No rules, no boundaries. Every man for himself.
“You take from me, I take from you. I’m heartless and abide to one rule and one rule only: protect La Famiglia.
Protect my own blood. The rest of you don’t count. My name is Ramirez, Ramirez De la Crux but they call me The Soulless Man.
Note to reader: Crux is a mafia, dark romance novel. Although it can be read as a standalone, it is highly recommended that you read Skins, Scars, and Filomena first, to fully understand characters, love stories, secrets and course of events.

If you enjoyed reading Skins and Scars, then Crux will blow you away. You could read Crux as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading Skins and Scars first, it will make Crux much better.
Crux is the story of Ramirez De La Crux, it follows Ramirez as he steps into Alejandro’s shoes. Ramirez never wanted to be a leader, especially not of the ‘De La Crux’ empire. But now Alejandro is gone, Ramirez must step up and take the reins.
This book is an incredible rollercoaster ride of dark, twisted, and emotional events. The emotion and heartbreak that Ramirez experiences is palpable. Crux shows us how a dark, secretive soulless man can be the complete opposite; how he can be a scared boy, not knowing who he can trust.
Crux gives us the back story behind Ramirez and how he became ‘The Soulless Man’. It shows us the many sides to Ramirez. Crux is raw, gritty, dark, twisted and heart breaking. The twists, turns, secrets and emotion make Crux a powerfully compelling, addictive, and thrilling story.
Crux showcases author Laura Rossi’s talent for writing such dark and twisted stories. Laura has the balance of emotion and details exactly right. She ensnares her readers and pulls them so far into their world, that you will forget where reality is.
I’m gutted that I’ve come to the end of Crux, and I can only hope that there will be more from Ramirez De La Crux in the future.

My name is Laura Rossi and I am a dreamer, the kind that walks around all day and likes to go back and forth, from the real world to her own little world.
I have two kids and a fantastic partner. We work together in our little pharmacy in Italy.
After travelling around the world with my family and living abroad a few years, I graduated in Criminology and Psychology in London and worked with juvenile offenders for two years, before moving back to Italy.
I’ve been writing since I was thirteen but never published any of my manuscripts until 2016, when I completed Counterpoints book 1 after many happy, sleepless nights.
I am allergic to staticism, I cannot sit still. I love to travel and meet new people. When I am not busy working or being a mommy, you can find me at a car race event (I am a big Formula one fan) or at a rock gig, or on the beach fantasizing about new character and new stories I’d like to write.
